The Perimenopause & Midlife Portals + Trauma Resolution

You might be feeling emotions that surprise you, or noticing that old stories and traumas are resurfacing — 

things you thought were long behind you.


Maybe your energy is shifting, your pace feels different.


You might be stressed with time to split and decisions to make about 

the children, moves, parents, marriage, finances, or the larger world — wondering what’s next, and 

what really matters now.


Many of these experiences arise as we enter the perimenopause portal — the deep passage of midlife.


That’s not a flaw in you; it’s part of the design.


This season calls for truth-telling: 

What do you really want? 

What do you believe about your capacity 

to live the life you want to be living? 


This portal is taking you somewhere.
It’s not about waiting for things to magically improve — it’s about how you meet yourself along the way.
That relationship, between you and you, changes everything.


I can’t promise joy or ease, but I can promise this: your body holds wisdom.


There is a knowing inside you that can guide you home.


My role is to help you safely slow down enough to hear it, feel it, and trust it.

To learn new approaches to the relationship with yourself, and all the things happening to your body, and in your life. 


Women were never meant to navigate these seasons alone.


Your body isn’t betraying you — it’s inviting you to live from a deeper level of who you are, which requires some stillness and quieting to discover. 

-Not through striving though. 


Our old methods of resolving problems doesn't work the same during perimenopause.


Most of us need support during this undoing! 


Part of the menopause experience is receiving - support, love, self kindness, pleasure, peace, goodness, healing, transformation....

"We carry both the wound and the wisdom within us."

Most people get that our body remembers trauma, How we remember is more complex during menopause.

By now we know that our bodies remember — holding both the imprint of what’s been painful or fearful in life, and the innate wisdom that has been with us since before any injury or wound happened, no matter how young. 


We carry both the wound and the wisdom within us. 


When your body finds capacity to connect with both it allows transformation and healing to reveal itself. 


Ancient womb wisdom holds that our deepest intuition and knowing is held in our energetic womb space. We store emotions, memories, experiences, as well as ideas, creative project stirrings, and deep intuition. 


It's not necessary to still have a uterus to receive womb wisdom or to remember  - having a hysterectomy does not mean you lose your wisdom! 


I have had a hysterectomy myself and came into womb wisdom practices after that - and healed so much trauma with the assistance of these really simple, somatic and non-cognitive approaches.


Learning about womb wisdom practices may feel woo-woo or a little foreign, and as you begin, it often feels familiar like a remembering, or a coming home, once your body re-organizes and drops in.
